It’s now time to sign up for this year’s CSA program. New this year, we will also be offering the option to place orders for items to be dropped off in Tweed and Belleville, as an alternative to the CSA program. This may be of interest for you if you would rather customize what you’re getting each week.
Which is better for you?
The CSA vegetable box program may be for you if you prefer:
- Not having to place an order each week, while still having the option to order additional items from time to time during the season
- Receiving more veggies for less money
- Paying ahead and not having to worry about it the rest of the season
- Specifying general preferences (such as never wanting kale or always wanting carrots) rather than specifying what you would like each week
- The element of surprise when opening your bin to discover the box of goodies
The Direct Order program may be for you if you prefer:
- Choosing exactly what you want for each order
- Not having to remember to pick up a bin every week or every other week
- Paying for what you get as the season goes
How will the Direct Order program work?
We will deliver orders to the same drop offs as the CSA bins (in Tweed and Belleville on Tuesdays, or from the farm on Fridays) from June to October. Orders will have to be placed by Sunday evening for Tuesday drop offs or Wednesday evening for Friday pick up. Orders will be placed through the following link: https://earthhaven.ca/all-
Once availability of your order is confirmed we will ask you to pay ahead by e-transfer. Participants must place a minimum order of $20 at a time. We do not offer refunds if you fail to pick up your orders. Let us know if you would like to be on the Direct Orders email list!
Join Our Annual CSA Program
We are now accepting sign ups for our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program. The program will run from June to October. You may sign up to receive a box either weekly or every other week. CSA members may also purchase additional items throughout the season via the same direct order link. Pick up options this year will be from the farm on Fridays and in Tweed and Belleville on Tuesdays. Prices are as follows:
Small weekly: (18 weeks) $440
Small biweekly: (9 weeks) $220
Regular weekly: (18 weeks) $624
Regular biweekly: (9 weeks) $312.

What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Becoming an Earth Haven Farm CSA member gives you a direct relationship with us, your farmers. Your membership provides you with much more than the weekly joy of receiving ultra-fresh, organic and locally grown produce. It provides you with education, the opportunity to try new food, and pride in the knowledge that you are reducing your environmental footprint and directly contributing to sustainable, local, organic farming while helping to support the next generation of farmers.
How Our CSA Works
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares give you a direct connection to the local farm where your vegetables are grown and with the farmer who grows them. They also give you fresh, delicious, organic produce throughout the growing season.
By buying shares of the future harvest while the ground is still frozen, you allow us to purchase the seeds and equipment needed in the spring. Once the season begins, usually by mid-June, we harvest fresh vegetables for you to enjoy each week or bi-weekly if preferred up until the end of the season, usually by mid-October.
Shareholders thus agree to share the risks as well as the bounty of the harvest, allowing farmers to focus on growing – that is what we do best!
Shares are harvested weekly for 18 weeks starting approximately by mid-June. You will be notified as soon as crops are ready for harvesting and pick-up. Members are encouraged to bring their own bags, baskets or containers to take the bounty home. Each week the contents of the share change based on what is in season.
Payment is required at the time you sign up to become a member. We accept cash, cheque or e-transfer made to info@earthhaven.ca. Installments can be arranged. Sign up before May 1st to avoid the $25 late fee!
Additions to Your CSA Box
Over and above your CSA box, any of the items listed under the "Our Products" list on our website can be ordered to go into your box. These items must be paid for in advance by e-transfer or by cash on the day of pick-up. All items are pending availability.
