Vaikunthanath Das Kaviraj
A pioneering work on the homeopathic therapy of plant disease. The author enters completely uncharted territory with this work, the long-term effects of which we can only speculate about.
The publisher: - "It is evident that l have, so far, only scratched the surface. Nonetheless, l see a great future ahead for both homoeopathy and agriculture ... this field of work deserves to be explored to its limits and l hope that l have aroused sufficient curiosity in my colleagues for them to contribute to its expansion."
Vaikunthanath Das Kaviraj, co-founder of the Magic Bus Company, author of the 'Boon Files', and friend of the 'Merry Pranksters', worked on tree nurseries and organic dairy farms until he found homoeopathy when seriously ill in India. The desire to understand what had cured him when everything eise had failed, lead to an apprenticeship in the 1970s followed by 10 years running Dr. Chatterjee's rural clinic.
His work with plants began in Switzerland in 1986 when a friend suggested he try treating an apple cordon that had developed a virulent bright red rust. To everyone's surprise, Belladonna cleared the rust and left a much better-tasting apple than the trees had produced up until then! This experience inspired the years of research in Australia and Europe that form the basis of this book.
