McIntosh Apples

Earth Haven planted our original orchard trees in 2006 and we have now added a new orchard planting which we look forward to harvesting in the coming years. This apple variety has proven to be a hardy grower for us, producing a sizable harvest each year.

McIntosh apples are a popular variety through North America, known for their tart flavor, tender white flesh, and distinctive red and green skin. They are versatile for eating raw, cooking, and making applesauce, and are typically harvested as early as late August throughout September and as late as early October.

Apples are loaded with many health benefits and whether eaten raw or cooked they are healthy and delicious. I always remembered going to school with an apple in my lunch box.
