The following products are hand crafted by Tabitha Aguonie  and support our farm initiatives for promoting sustainable lifestyles by creating reusable products that support the environment and provide a sense of well-being to the consumer.  Note, that products may not appear exactly as shown and some products will have to be custom made for your order.  These products are sold at our farmers markets and local craft fairs throughout the year.  Check out our Calendar to see where we will be.

Beeswax Food Wraps

An eco-friendly alternative to plastic wrap! 100% Cotton fabric is infused with beeswax, pine tree resin and jojoba oil to create a wrap that is waterproof and re-usable. Beeswax food wraps can be used to replace sandwich bags, Ziplocs for snacks, and bowl toppers for leftovers. Fruits and vegetables may also be wrapped to preserve the integrity of the food. Beeswax does not harbour bacteria so it is ideal for using with foods. These wraps are not recommended for meat products.

To wash and reuse wraps, simply wipe with cool to lukewarm water along with a mild soap and hang to dry. Wraps can be reused over and over again and can last between 6 and 12 months. When wraps are looking a little worn out, they can be revitalized by placing them in a warm oven (200 degrees or less) on a baking sheet, lined with parchment paper for a few minutes. this allows the beeswax to be melted and redistributed throughout the fabric again.

Wraps can be composted too, so when they have reached the end of their lifespan, simply cut them up into small pieces and put them in your compost.  100% bio-degradable.

Wraps are sold in packages of three different sizes. The large wrap (14" x 16") is great for wrapping breads and large bowl toppers for leftovers. The medium size wrap (10" x 11") is good for sandwiches and wrapping cheeses, and medium size bowls. The small size (7" x 8") is great for snacks like granola bars and nuts, and small bowls.

Reusable Hankies (Ye Old Fashioned Handkerchief)

Join the "hankie challenge" and return to using the old fashioned handkerchiefs.  These hankies are handmade from 100% soft cotton.  Super soft on the nose or other parts of the body as a wipe.  Great for all ages.

Today, the average American uses about two boxes of tissues per month. That means, on average, Americans all together use over 7.8 billion boxes of tissues a year (yep, billions).

All of these tissues come from trees. When trees are chopped down, we endanger plants and animals that live in forests and increase the severity of climate change.  When we process the raw tree into tissues, we use a lot of water and energy and emit a lot of pollution. Not to mention, many brands of tissues are loaded with toxic chemicals that we don’t want anywhere near our faces.

Whether you blow your nose in a tissue and throw it away or blow your nose in a handkerchief and fold it up and wash it, you will be exposed to the same amount of germs.  Generations before us survived quite well on hankies and all these reusable products. Simply throw them in the wash cycle and reuse - Join the Zero Waste lifestyle.
